Step 1: Choose a Right Niche for Your Blog (Most Crucial Step for Success)
This is the most important part and most of the bloggers stuck here.
They are not able to decide, what topic should they choose upon which they would write their posts.
Some most popular and profitable niches are:
- Technology Blog
- Personal Blog
- How-to Style Blog
- Micro Niche Blogs Like Legal, Fashion, etc.
Most of the bloggers, about 99% of them quit blogging because they choose a topic which they are not passionate about.
Choosing a topic, which you are passionate about helps you stay in the field for longer time and better express your views toward it.
Are you still confused?
Let’s take some examples,
Smart Passive Income – Patt Flynn started this blog named Smart Passive Income, where he shares strategies to grow your online business. Today Smart Passive Income is one of the most successful blogs which are making millions of dollars every day.
ShoutMeLoud: You all know ShoutMeLoud is one of the most significant websites which teaches about WordPress, SEO, Blogging, and Much more stuff related to blogging.
Here’s an official graph of earnings of ShoutMeLoud,
As you can see, they earned around $434 at the beginning. They did not stop at it and scaled their blog because they selected a profitable niche. This helped them increase their earning to a great extent.
So, how you can find the perfect niche that you won’t regret later?
You have to focus on these two factors to find out the profitable niche for your blog.
Profitability
- See that you can make money from that?
- They have enough affiliate programs or not?
- Is that niche is having a good volume of keywords or not?
Passionate
- Are you interested in working on that niche?
- Can you share the article of that niche?
- Can you solve other problems with your writing on that niche?
Here’s a trick!
Take a paper or notepad and write some topics that you think you are passionate about.
Now, choose, the best out of them.
Congrats, you just got your perfect niche.
Step 2: Choose a Good Domain For Your Blog
Choosing the right domain name is not a difficult task and anybody can have a good domain name.
You just need to be a bit careful before choosing domain name to start a blog.
The domain name that you choose should have a reputable name and a purposive name.
Still Confused?
Let’s take few examples,
HackTechHub – Tech in HackTechHub refers that this website shows content related to tech.
WPBeginner – WP Beginner shows that this website shows stuff related to WordPress (WP) for beginners.
There are few extra tips before choosing a domain name:
- Keep it Short & Simple – Try to keep your domain as short, don’t make it too long because it’s not easy to pronounce and keep your domain name simply because it’s easy to remember. (Jon Morrow changed their domain name to BoostBlogTraffic to SmartBlogger, and their blog are getting millions of traffic because now his domain looks simple).
- Use Keyword – You can use your main keyword in your domain, which helps you in SEO, which is already mentioned above.
- Don’t Use Numbers – You should not use numbers in your domain because it’s not easy to remember the numbers and makes it difficult to become a word of mouth.
- Always Use TLD Extension – I recommend you to use domain extension like .com because it is better accepted by Google Search Engine.
Note: Which blogging platform should you choose?
I am not going to take much time here to explain to you which platform is best,
There is a lot of blogging platform which you can use to make your blog, but I recommended you to go with WordPress.
Why?
Because in other platforms, you can’t have access to edit or customize everything, but WordPress gives you the freedom to make your blog as you can.
In WordPress, you have many plugins and themes which you can use to make your blog Awesome!
So I think you can get an idea of why WordPress is good,
Let’s dive in and let me tell you to further steps to create your blog.
Step 3: Choose a Good Hosting For Your Blog
To start making your blog, you will need a hosting and a domain.
A domain name is an address which a visitor enters into the browser to visit your website.
For example, a domain name looks like,
www.google.com
Here, ‘google’ is a domain name ‘.com’ is the extension and ‘www’ is automatically configured by the service providers.
Web Hosting – A web hosting is a place where all your files of your blog are stored and show your blog live when someone tries to access that. Hosting is like the hard disk of the computer, which stored all your data (images, posts, pages, and many more) and kept your data secured.

There are tons of WordPress hosting available on the internet, but 99% of them fails to deliver the purpose of your website.
Choosing a Hosting is very important and need to be dome wisely.
I could give you tons of Hosting providers list but I would not recommend any of them, because if any problem persists in future, it would affect me and my website’s reputation.
